In order to ensure easy interchanging of tools, the design of boring tools is completely based on MODULAR concept. Tapered nuts and bolts are used to insert and fasten the coupled parts. An axial thrust is created on tightening the tapered bolt for rigid face clamping. The face and diameter and face are ground accurately to ensure a better seating, perfect seating, rigidity and better concentricity.

To suit the BORING HEADS of FB series from rough boring tools, various modular adapters are available in different machine tapers (BT-50, BT-40, SK-40, HSK-100, HSK-63, etc.) with MC_32 connector.

Modular adapters with BMC-25 for boring tools from diameter 105mm to 200mm are available in various machine tool tapers. The BRF and BRR series bridge are clamped rigidly to the adapter using allen bolts.
